I'm aware of the research. I worked on the very first Religious Landscape Survey Pew conducted way back in 2007. Pew found that religious affiliation has leveled off after years of decline, but there is not much evidence that Americans are surging back into churches. Rates of religious membership and attendance are still historically low and have not shown signs of rebounding. See here: https://news.gallup.com/poll/642548/church-attendance-declined-religious-groups.aspx

The youngest Americans are still the least religious. In Pew's study cited in the NYT more than four in ten young adults (ages 18-24) are religiously unaffiliated. That's double the rate of the oldest Americans.

I'm not saying a religious resurgence will not happen, but it's premature to say it is happening now.

Unfortunately the caustic feminist movement started in the late sixties with the advent of the birth control pill to the rise of abortion on demand has contributed to this more that we want to acknowledge. And even more unfortunate, the men fell into the non-relevant trap of this messaging and retreated. When we play God, then we are our own religion. We are paying a mighty price for this movement brought on by people who want to see depopulation and are witnessing it happen in shorter order than even they expected I’m sure. And Satan is laughing all the way to the next abortion clinic, pharmacy and divorce court hearing.
